20150603_183216

What a lil cutie.  I really loved doing this one.  Not only does Amanda make cute images to colour but they are also really easy to colour.  As a person with an attention span of a gnat it is a perfect colouring project for me.  So what did I do?  I got to colour Doodlebug Teddy.  I do love this collection and hope there are many many more to come.

Mermy on the Rocks

How have you all been, spiffy I hope?  Today It’s my turn to inspire your creative fires.  So I know you all get excited when Amanda does a new release and so I thought I would inspire you today with your fantasy dream is Mermaid on the Rocks..  Who doesn't want to be a mermy with all that flowy hair and swishy tail which glimmers and sparkles in the water.

Anyhooo I digress, I went into a little tangent there…

Here she is …….  <insert drum roll here>

mermyontherocks1stjune

mermyontherocks1stjune2

mermyontherocks1stjune3

So for this mix I used:

  • Promarkers to colour
  • Noor Designs goldfish bowl template and bubble template
  • Bling, ribbons and lace from stash
  • Acetate clear
  • Sandy modelling paste
  • Millions, maybe trillions of 3d foam squares
  • stickles galore.

So I cut out the bowl template, which folds in half..  I cut out the middle of half the bowl and added some layering which is hard to see but she is, I promise bwahahahaha!! I popped the clear acetate on the hole i just cut to make it for the glass.  I added some sandy textured modelling paste on to the backing papers with the bubble template.  I layered up the front and back with the gazillions of 3d foam squares.

So pop over to Amanda at Faery Ink and grab yourself this little girl..

Happy creating xxx

Faery Ink 12th Birthday

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to youuuuu
Happy Birthday dear Faery Ink -ah
Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu (and many more)

Wowzers! 12 years old.  That’s a lot of years to still be in the graphic community.  I remember when Amanda first burst on to the scene.  She and I were in the country graphics community.  I couldn't draw and neither could she  Amanda was amazing at drawing and bringing a totally new concept to the graphic community.  I remember her site theme had a big black and white checks everywhere which is her theme tune ‘Alice in Wonderland’  if you hadn't caught on.  But you know I stalked followed her through many different times and trends.  Some happy, some sad but all in all very creative.  Our friendship has always been an internet one and we are friends who do or don’t talk but on my part I am always there if she needs me.

So here we are in 2015 Manda has moved in to the digi stamp community and hello here is one of her UH-MAZING images that I loved colouring.  do you like it? Do ya? DO ya?  D D D DOOO YA!!?

BubblequeenfaeryFIbloghop

I am kinda girly but I do like an edge to my things.  I love fantasy and as you can see Amanda does too.  You know I think Amanda has everyone's tastes at heart.  I know that she loves to draw darker images so I colour them all in pink lol!! ...

And GUESS WHAT!!!! <Insert drum roll ... >  Amanda has been generous enough to allow me give this digi stamp to one lucky commenter.  Oh YEAH!  How fabulous is that??  Fabby indeed, I should say lol!

bubblequeenfaeryFIbloghop2

The image that I used is called The Bubble Fairy Queen which can be purchased over at Amanda’s shop Faery Ink.  But one lucky winner could be skipping home with this just for commenting on this post.  I chose this one because I love the way that the girl is looking at her friend, which of course is pink PAH!!  Well come on what's not to like, in fact, I think I would like to see this girl in grey tones too or dark reds...  Anyhoo This is definitely one of my faves, Amanda did ask me to choose one, I think she was being kinda selfish because I have many, many favourites.  So let me shut up chatting and you let continue your hopping or if  just joining in, make sure you check out the original blog hop post below:

Don’t forget to comment on this post down below for your chance to win this cute digi from Faery Ink…

For more chances of winning why not hop over and see my DT sisters and see what they have up for grabs!!

So Long Yesterday

Hello my lovelies.  The day is wonderfully bright.  I love this time of year.  The first cuts of grass and the birdies tweeting away or in my case the seagulls squawking.  But how lovely is spring?

So the last two weeks we ate chocolate and hot cross buns and enjoyed a restful time away from work.  Oh no wait that was just me, everyone else did what they did best lol!

I finished a few projects and started a new one which I am keeping to myself until I have finished.  The one I did finish I am really proud of.  I did take forever, because darlings that’s how I roll – slowly hahahaha!

CCK-Solongyesterday

So here is my pride of joy for now which I love.  I did not rush, but then I never do.  So my list of ingredient's I will tell you as I go along.

I used a blank canvas from my local store and covered it ripped pieces of pastel coloured stash paper.  I spritzed with some shimmer paints very very lightly and I then used Tim Holtz tissue paper (new love item) to shove on and pasted it on with a pva glue/water mixture.

solongyesterdayclup

I used So long yesterday digi from Ching-Chou Kuik who you can find at etsy.  I used a mixture of promarkers and copics to colour her in.  I couldn’t list them all as I tend to go over with many shades.  I used some tulle to make the bow and on the edge is a glass bead thingy again from stash.

solongyesterdaybutton

She looks a little washed out, my fault on taking the picture.  I got her from my local store she is part of the Mirabelle collection from santoro.  I think you can pic up these anywhere really.

solongyesterdayflowers

Flowers are from my stash garden and I usually get all my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Solongyesterdaysenti

I love this sentiment.  I found it online and it doesn’t seem to have an author??  I printed this up from my canon using word.  I practised a few times to get it right then I went ahead and printed on pretty paper stash edging with distress ink.  (I really need to get vintage photo)

sonlongyesterdaybutter

Butterfly, Organza, and meshy stuff from stash – I can’t remember where from but it was online.

I am entering this over at Faery Ink Facebook Challenge which is all about pastels.  I’m Lovin It *sang McDonalds style*
